Alauda Publications is a new publishing house in the field of contemporary art, culture and theory. Close collaboration with artists, authors and art institutions is essential to the publishing house, both in commissioned works as well as initiatives proposed by others. A cross-disciplinary editorial approach allows for a wide range of themes. We offer a platform for publishing on subjects of contemporary and topical interest in the field of art and culture in the broadest sense. Alauda Publications distinguishes itself with carefully designed books where form and content meaningfully interrelate. Further, we perceive the book as an alternative medium for artists, both as a visual object and as way of documenting artistic process.

Alauda Publications is an Amsterdam-based internationally operating publishing house, founded in 2009. The editorial board consists of Esther Krop (graphic designer) and Ingrid Commandeur (independent art critic/researcher).
